Larry David Worack, 74, of Sulphur, died on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at a local hospital with his family at his side.
Larry was a native of Enterprise, Alabama and a longtime resident of the Lake Area. He loved learning history and the Spanish language, camping, telling stories and making others laugh. He loved his time in Destin with family, but his heart has always been in Arizona. He was a retired mechanic, having worked many years for Sears Automotive, and was a zealous minister and active member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Sulphur, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Daniel and Annie Lucille McGee Worack and a sister, Pansy Venable. Larry was a beloved husband and grandfather. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Connie Smith Worack; son, Troy Worack and wife Pammy, Westlake; Andrea Hanauer and husband Jason, Sulphur; sister, Lavita Hunter; grandchildren, Meghan Stein and husband Stephen, Courtlynn Weldon and husband Bryce, Haylee Hanauer, Allison Labit and husband Dylan, and Beckham Hanauer; great grandchildren, Emma and Abbigail Stein; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family of the heart.
A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday October 26, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 857 Sweeney Lane, Sulphur, Louisiana 70663. Brother Ronald Young will officiate the Memorial Services.
