Lavannah Aline Lantier, 62 of Sulphur passed away on August 12, 2015. She was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur and belonged to the Lay Carmelites. Lavannah enjoyed crocheting and making rosaries. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and will be missed by all who knew her. Lavannah is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Lantier, Sr. of Sulphur; two sons, Scott Lantier and wife Teena of Carlyss and Kenny Lantier of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Scott Lantier and Chloe Lantier of Carlyss; her brother, Gilbert Bourque and wife Alice of Moss Bluff; her sister, Peggy Reyes and husband Oscar of Sweetlake; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Sarah Bourque; 2 brothers, Herman Murray and Darrell Bourque; and sister, Sybil Marshall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 4-9 P.M. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 8 A.M. at the funeral home until time of leaving for the church. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice Nurses, Callie East, Brenda Fontenot and Jessie Edgerton for their loving care and compassion.
