Laverne Domingue, 85, of Sulphur passed away on August 27, 2014 in a local hospital. She enjoyed life to the fullest having many talents. Laverne belonged to 12th Night Revelers, enjoyed canvas painting, loved to play the guitar and sing, writing some of her own songs. She and her husband loved to travel. Laverne cherished her grandchildren and they likewise cherished her. Laverne is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leroy Domingue of Carlyss; her three children, Michael Foster and wife Wanda of Mora, NM, Ellen Gorum of Carlyss and David Domingue and wife, Sheila of Carlyss; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Darnell of Bernalillo, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Rose and Faye Myers; daughter, Darla McCary; grandson, Timothy Dehart; and 2 brothers, Charles and Curtis Reynolds. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Ernest Corriveau officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of the service.
