On August 2nd, 2010, while working in Ohio, Lawrence Allen Mott, 39, of Lake Charles, left this earth to be comforted by his beloved grandmother.
"Bubba" was born the oldest of a set of twins on January 16, 1971 in Lake Charles to Stanford and Reba "Cady" Mott. He lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area. Franklin, LA and Tomball, TX were also his home at one time. He served the United States National Guard.
Mr. Mott worked most of his life for Phillip's Service Corporated. He took great pride in working hard all of his life to set an example as a good man to his children. He strived very hard to provide to his children, everything they wanted.
"Bubba" will be most remembered as a devoted father, son and brother and will be greatly missed, as a part of him will remain in their hearts always.
He leaves to honor his memory, His loving parents, four children, Aeriel Willis of Magnolia, TX, Gage Mott of Lake Charles and Jordin and Nicolas Mott of Pensacola, FL; twin sister, Lorraine Murphy and husband Kit of Magnolia, TX; sister, Laura Mott of Franklin and brother, Lorne Mott and wife Lee Cheryl of Moss Bluff. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great niece and nephews, who adored him and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Valentine Sr. and Ruby Cormier Mott and maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Sadie Hoffpauir Cady.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Troy Mott will officiate. Interment will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
