Lawrence Bruce Brown

Lawrence Bruce Brown, 54, of Westlake, La died Tuesday, December 10, 2014. Lawrence was born on December 17, 1959 in France to Bruce and Pierrette Brown. Lawrence loved being around family and friends. He attended Pinecrest Developmental Center in Alexandria for many years. He was in the hand bell choir and won many medals while participating in Special Olympics. His proudest accomplishment was receiving the EDS State of Louisiana award for disabled worker of the year in 2010. He is survived by his loving mother, Pierrette Brown of Westlake, La; two sisters, Noelle Hefler and husband Sheldon of Westlake, LA and Brigitte Brown Blasini of Houston, TX; uncles, John Austin Brown of Houston, TX and Daniel Brault of France; niece, Jordan Hefler; two nephews, Morgan Hefler and Eli Blasini. He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce B. Brown. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Westlake Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CARC.
