Lawrence Buller, 79, of Westlake, LA died at 5:26 PM on Friday, April 22, 2011.


Mr. Buller was born July 3, 1931 in Kinder, LA and was a 1951 graduate of Marion High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and retired after thirty-one years of service from CITGO as a supervisor. After retirement, he worked as a superintendant for the City of Sulphur for seven years and worked as a mechanic at BMC for four years. He was a member of the Boiler Maker's Local and a member of the City Service Club. Mr. Buller attended Westwood Baptist Church and the Apostolic Temple. He enjoyed fishing and will always be remembered as a simple man and a loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Mr. Buller is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Barbara Anne Reinhardt Buller; son, Davis Joe Buller, both of Westlake; daughter, Jackie Buller Castille and husband Willard of Carlyss; siblings, Lola Comeaux and husband John of Lake Charles, Bishop LeRoy Buller and wife Evelyn of Cincinnati, OH, and Lorie Bruce and husband Jim of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Stephanie Castille Gary and husband Kenny of Carlyss, James Paul Castille and wife Jessica of Moss Bluff, and Elizabeth Castille Bergeron and husband Jay of Carlyss; and eight great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lillian Buller.


His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ricky Treece will officiate. Cremation will follow his service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
