Lawrence Claude Stewart, 74, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:50 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in a Beaumont hospice facility. Mr. Stewart was born on November 28, 1940 in Butler, MO and moved to Lake Charles in the early 1980's. He was retired from the US Air Force before being employed as an Avionics Technician and retiring from Northrop Grumman. Mr. Stewart enjoyed all aspects of airplanes and in his spare time built model planes. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be missed dearly. Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Lawrance Troy Stewart of Aurora, CO; a daughter, Angel Lisa Stewart of Olathe, KS; step children, Judith Anne Harrison Radke, Vicki Lynn Harrison Nooney, Michael Phillip McSwain, Carolyn Marie McSwain Lehmann; three brothers, James E. Stewart of Hope, AR, Raymond L. Stewart of Nevada, MO, and Paul C. Stewart of Nevada, MO; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Judy Stewart; parents, Edna and Claude Stewart; and a sister, Mary Stone. Per Mr. Stewart's wishes, cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
