Lawrence "Duke" White

Lawrence “Duke” White, 67, passed away on May 18, 2019 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.  Duke loved fishing, drinking beer, coaching baseball and listening to oldies and French music. He worked as a crane operator for 34 years at Mike Hooks.  Duke loved his family dearly.

Duke is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sheryl R. O’Quain; two sons, Kurt J. White and wife Amanda and Mitchell P. White and wife Monica; one daughter, Angela G. Cormier and husband Chris; one daughter in law, Tonya White; his siblings, Glenn East and wife Brenda, Roland East and Sherra Thacker and husband Charles; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald White; his in laws, JC and Gladys O’Quain; his brother, Vernon East; his parents, Raphael White and Evela East; and his stepdad, Renus East.

A memorial service for Duke will be held on Wednesday, May22, 2019 at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 5-9 PM with a rosary recited at 6:30 PM.  Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8 AM until the time of service.  Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
