Lawrence Earl David

Lawrence Earl David, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 surrounded by his family.  He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1962 and went on to play basketball at Nicholls State University before joining the United States Marine Corps.  Lawrence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He was an avid golfer and also loved to play poker with his buddies every other Tuesday night. 

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lynda Ranero David; two sons, Lawrence David II and Randal David and his wife, Liz Estes David; three stepdaughters, Marlyn David, Kelli Jardneaux and Jenel Fendley and husband Derrick; grandchildren, Victoria Green, Louis McGlone, Matthew McGlone, Sarah David, Jordan Jardneaux and Emersyn Fendley; one great grandchild, Arianna Green; brothers, Wade, Hershall, Mark, Richard and Todd David and Charles and Hugh Boudreaux; one sister, Patricia David; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Lawrence was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Parsley David and one granddaughter, Addisyn Fendley.

Services for Lawrence will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 12 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4-8 PM with a rosary at 6 PM and will resume on Saturday at the funeral home from 9-11:30 am.
