Lawrence Edward Tomasik, better known as "Larry", was called home on May 25, 2015. He was born December 17, 1948 to Alice Mae (Griffith) and George Tomasik Sr. in Baltimore, Maryland. He joined the military right out of high school, and went to Vietnam, where he was a Navy Seal. He moved here to Sulphur LA 1978. Where he worked many jobs till he found an operators position with Conoco in which he retired. He worked for the unemployment office and also as a benefit counselor for Veterans' Affairs. His hobby was bowling, where he held many positions throughout the years. He was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star, the American Legion and the Shriners. Larry is survived by his daughter, Tina LeBoeuf and husband Chuck, his son, Larry Tomasik, Jr.; his grand daughters, Kinsey LeDoux, Kelsey and Kourtlin LeBoeuf; his grandson, Elijah Taylor; 2 great granddaughters, Addyson LeDoux and Audri Jumonville; 1 brother, George "Butch' Tomasik, Jr., and 1 sister, Dawna Summers; a sister-in-law, Sue Hughes; and his faithful companions, Lucky, Baby and Alex. Also his grand-pups, Baby Gurl, Shadow, and Hank; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Menefee; his life-long stepfather, Charles Menefee; his father, George Tomasik, Sr., 3 brothers, Edward "Russell" Menefee, Charles "Chuck" Menefee, Jr. and Lee Hughes; a sister, Angie "Ruth' Tamberelo and a son, Michael James Tomasik. A Masonic Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M. with Rev. Steve Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral with an Eastern Star service beginning at 6 P.M. with visitation continuing on Thursday at 9 A.M. until time of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Home.
