Lee Joseph Stanford

Lee Joseph Stanford, 88, of Lake Charles, LA died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in a local hospital. Lee was born on November 29, 1926 in Lawtell, LA to Eddie and Odette Stanford. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. Lee was a resident of Lake Charles, LA since 1955. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their camp in Toledo Bend. Lee's grandchildren were one of the biggest highlights of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ethel Carrier Stanford; three daughters, Norma Boudreaux and husband John " Butch" of Lake Charles, LA, Linda Campbell of Lake Charles, LA, Wanda Fontenot and husband Kevin of Beaumont, TX; one sister, Wilda Weise of South Carolina. He is preceded in death by one son, Kerney Stanford; four brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 7, 2015 at St Margaret Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume from 8:00 am until 10:30 am Friday, August 7, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Father Marcus Johnson will officiate services.
