Lelia-Rae Lejeune

Lelia R. LeJeune, 97, passed away on February 27, 2024, in a local care center. She was born on November 24, 1926, in Eunice, Louisiana to Fabias and Edley Dupre.

She was part of the Garden Club of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She loved traveling along with the Cruising Cajuns and the Outlaws. Was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 74 years, Allen LeJeune, her children, Shelia Goos of Lake Charles, LA, Paula Anglin and husband Barry of Birmingham, Alabama, and her son Michael LeJeune of Lake Charles, LA, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister; Ruth Duplechain.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the Johson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Visitation will begin on Friday, March 1 at 5:00 PM and continue until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm. Visitation will continue Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
