Leola Mae Daugereau, 81, of Sulphur passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Leola was born on September 20, 1936 in Basile, LA. Leola was retired from Kroger’s where she worked for 28 years. She was a Pink Lady at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for many years after her retirement. Leola loved to read, do crafts, sew, play cards and games and play dominos. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home. Leola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Leola is survived by her husband of six years, James Daugereau; her children, Mike Croker, Paula Croker Smythe and husband, Marck, Geri Prince and husband, Raymond, Mary-Beth (Charlee) Croker Walling and husband, Ted and James (Chip) Croker; special friend, Mary Abshire; stepchildren, Kim Daugereau, Bill Daugereau, Greg Daugereau, Mona Stewart and Tom Winkler; her sisters Margie Raborn and Julia Deloach and her twin sister, Deola Fuselier; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laddie and Ivy Langley Richard; her brother, James Richard; and her sister, Leatrice Didelot.
Services for Leola will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Burial will follow in Grandlake Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 6 PM.
