Leola Lebouef Fogleman

December 17, 1925 — October 30, 2012

Leola LeBouef Fogleman, 86, of Sweetlake died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Fogleman lived most of her life in the Sweetlake area. She was a graduate of Sweetlake High School. She lived in Michigan with her first husband and moved back to the Lake Charles area following his death. Mrs. Fogleman owned and operated several businesses within the Lake Charles area before owning and operating Fogleman's Grocery in Sweetlake for over thirty years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.


Mrs. Fogleman enjoyed working, cooking and playing Pokeno. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker whom took great pride in caring for her large family.


She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Randy Fogleman and wife Frances of Sweetlake, Jack Fogleman and Richard Fogleman, both of Westlake and Jimmy Fogleman and wife Bonnie of Sweetlake; four daughters, Gwen LaGrange and husband David of Lake Charles, Sharon Calhoun and husband Steve, Kathy LeBleu and husband Tim and Cindy Theriot and husband Tony, all of Sweetlake; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two sisters, Dorothy Broussard of Sweetlake and Pearl Pellerin of Baton Rouge.


She was preceded in death by her second husband, C.J. Fogleman and first husband, Ernest Huston; son, Michael Fogleman; parents, Lazime and Elizabeth Dupuy LeBouef; two brothers, Lee LeBouef and Westley LeBouef and two sisters, Elta Huber and Lucy Landry.


A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 02, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Interment will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
