Leonard Jolivette

December 23, 1962 — August 16, 2022

Leonard Jolivette, 59, of Lake Charles passed away at 9:02 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in a Lafayette hospital.

Mr. Jolivette was born on December 23, 1962 in Sunset, LA where he was raised until moving to Lake Charles in 1972.  He was a 1981 graduate of Marion High School.  Mr. Jolivette retired as a truck driver after many years of service with Pepsi.  He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. 

He had many great qualities with a kind, caring, and compassionate heart.  Mr. Jolivette also knew how to have a good time being the life of the party.  He was a hard-working man who was a great dad, brother, friend, and lovable Godfather. 

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Devan Green, Chavon Pitre, and Logan Jolivette and one daughter, Mariah Jolivette all of Lake Charles; six brothers, Louis Jolivette, Jr. (Lorenza) of LaPorte, TX, John Jolivette, Sr. (Judy) of Iowa, David Jolivette (Rosie) of Katy, TX, Ronald Jolivette (Gloria) of Jacksonville, FL, Anthony Jolivette (Janice), and Winnfield Jolivette (Lisa) all of Lake Charles; four sisters, Jacqueline Goodley of Katy, TX, Johanna Jolivette (Wilton Guillory), Judy Papillion (Burnell) all of Lake Charles; and Ophelia Shah (Nasir) of Beaumont, TX; two half-sisters, Jennifer Thibodeaux (Glenn) of Arnaudville and Vanessa Rubin (Patrick) of Alexandria; sister in law, Anquetta Jolivette of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruby Jolivette, Sr.; a brother, Clarence Jolivette; niece, Yolanda Jolivette; and nephew, Brent Jolivette.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Johnson Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the start of the rosary at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Deacon Ray Menard will officiate the graveside service.
