Leonard Mark Casanova, 78 passed away on March 30, 2013 in Cornerstone Hospital in Sulphur. Leonard was a welder for PPG until he retired. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur, member of 8978 Knights of Columbus and a member of the Machinist and Pipe Fitters local 470. He belonged to several dance clubs, The Swinging Rebels and the Bayou Rounders. Leonard loved to travel, ride his Harley and take care of his family. Leonard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy of Sulphur; daughters, Mary Clement and husband, Terry Sr. of Lafayette and Chris Fontenot of Sulphur; son, James Stine of Sulphur; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Joseph Casanova of Middletown, OH and daughter-in-law, Linda Lyons. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Casanova; sister, Marie Anderson; son, John Lyons and grand-daughter, Kim Lyons. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Edward Richard officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2013 from 4-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
