LeRoy Dube Bernard Hollier, 81, of Lake Charles died at 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mr. Hollier was born in Lake Charles on September 17, 1931 and lived in the Prien Lake area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hollier retired from Solari Tile Company. He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Peter Claver.
He had a passion for horseback riding and farming.
Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Vickie Jones of Lake Charles; Cynthia Burris and husband Carlton of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Angelia Jones, Amanda Armelin and husband Ricky, Adam Jones, and Courtney Pete; Alyssa and Joseph Burris; three brothers, James Hollier and wife Ramanuel of Lake Charles, Frank Hollier and wife Mary; and Horace Hollier and wife Mary all of California; and a sister, Minunette T. Hollier of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years and the mother of his children, Theresa Henderson Hollier; a son, Gerald Hollier; and his second wife, Margie Hebert Hollier.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. The Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Saturday at the church at 9:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 10:00 AM.
