Leroy Joseph Meche

Mr. Leroy Joseph Meche, 89, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was born in Church Point and was a resident of Lake Charles.

Mr. Meche was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and was a Longshoreman with Port of Lake Charles for 29 years.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Meche of Duson; one sister, Ezal LaVergne of Baton Rouge; one grandson, Joey Meche of Duson; and special friend, Rena Fruge of Lake Charles.

Preceded in death by his wife, Eudia Meche; parents, Adjie and Iznia Meche.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mire at 1PM. Visitation will begin Monday from 5 PM-9 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8 AM until time of service.
