Leroy Vasseur, Jr.

Leroy Vasseur, Jr., 64, of Lake Charles, died on May 29, 2016 at a local hospital.

Leroy was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles. He attended LaGrange high school and worked in the industrial construction field for 20 years and was a member of the IUOE local 106. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy (Sr.) and Beatrice Bertrand Vasseur and is survived by his brother, Floyd Wayne Vasseur and wife Pricilla, Lake Charles and sister, Gloria Murdock and husband John Murdock Jr., Orange, TX; nieces, Pamela Murdock Devore and Andrea Vasseur Bryant; and nephews, Johnny Murdock III and Todd Murdock.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening, June 2, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
