Lillian Bertrand Lyon

Lillian Bertrand Lyon, 87, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 10:26 AM on Monday, July 6, 2015 in a Houston, TX hospital. Mrs. Lyon was born December 26, 1927 in Lake Arthur, LA, where she was a 1945 graduate of Lake Arthur High School. She was raised in the catholic faith and enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening, but her family brought her the greatest joy. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and family. Mrs. Lyon is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lyon of Lake Charles; granddaughter, Cortney Lyon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold Lyon; daughter, Kathy Lyon; and sister, Molly LeJeune. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Nathan Long will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
