Lillian Janet Moody

Beloved Mother and friend, Lillian Trosclair Thornton Moody, entered into Heaven on Monday, May 25th, 2015 at 03:22 PM surrounded by her loving family in a local care facility. Lillian was born on June 23, 1935 in Kaplan, LA to Paul and Eunice Trosclair. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and being with family. Spending Saturdays with her grandchildren was one of her highlights. She was a devoted member of Preparing the Way Ministries. Many people knew her as "mom", the mother they never had. She left behind one brother, Milford (Mike) Trosclair and spouse Georgette; one sister Lucille (Teal) Rham; Two sisters in law, Dee Trosclair and Helen Trosclair; children, Robert (Bobby) Thornton and spouse Joann, Nelda Jean Becnel, Janet Mcclendon and spouse James, David Thornton, Kenneth (Kenny) Thornton and spouse Wendy, and David Moody; She was the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded to Heaven by her husband, Herbert Moody; son, Randall Thornton; a daughter, Sandy Moody ; son in law Karl Becnel; brothers, Luke, Larcy, and Wilford (Phil) Trosclair; her parents, Paul And Eunice Trosclair and many more family and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, May, 27, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Doyle Evans will officiate services. The Family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at Lake Charles Care Center and Harbor Hospice for their Love and Support.
