Lillian "Mrs. Lil" Salvador

March 4, 1935 — December 3, 2022

Lillian “Mrs. Lil” Salvador, 87, of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Mrs. Lil was a native of Oakdale, LA and made Lake Charles her home when she married the love of her life, Edward Salvador, Sr. They were married for 56 years before Edward’s passing, and together, they raised four children. She was an active member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she proudly served on the Altar Society. She also volunteered as a “Pink Lady” at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and was a member of the bible study group “Come Lord Jesus”. Mrs. Lil was an amazing cook and enjoyed hosting her family, especially during the holidays. She was known for her loving and gentle heart, willingness to help others, but most of all for being a good listener and friend. Her strong faith in God guided her through life and was an inspiration to her family. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love for all that knew her.

Mrs. Lil was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Myrtle Jordan Stalsby; beloved husband, Edward Salvador, Sr.; two sisters and four brothers; and great granddaughter, Sinclair Bennerscheidt. Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her children, Ed Salvador, Jr., Lake Charles; Karen Derise (Gary), Rockford, MI; James Salvador and Christopher Salvador (Kimberly), both of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jessica Baker (Scott); Jade Salvador, Spencer Salvador, Kristian Bennerscheidt (Frederick) and Connor Salvador; great grandchildren, Lindsay Baker, Andrea Baker and Rachel Baker; and two brothers, Henry Stalsby, Oakdale, LA and Frank Stalsby, Jr. (Barbara), Mansfield, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family of the heart.

Funeral Services led by Father Andrew DeRouen will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday December 7, 2022, at the Chapel of Johnson Funeral home of Lake Charles. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 10:00 AM and continue until the hour of service with a rosary lead by the Come Lord Jesus bible study group at 11:00 AM. Burial, alongside her beloved husband, will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
