Lillian Trahan, 91, passed away in a local care facility on Friday, November 1, 2019.
Lillian was born on March 12, 1928 to Donet and Lenora LeBlanc in Mermentau, LA.
She retired as a cook from the Calcasieu Parish School Board in 1992 after many years of service. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed listening to Cajun music and dancing. She also enjoyed camping and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Robertson (Clarence) of Sulphur, LA and Brenda Laughlin (Leon) of Moss Bluff, LA; stepdaughter, Jeanette Gaspard (Leroy) of Lake Charles, LA; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; brother, Lou Allen LeBlanc (Pat); sister, Martha LaPoint; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, V.L. Guillory; son, Donald Ray Trahan; parents; sister, Helen LeBlanc; and brother, Alfred “choo choo” LeBlanc.
Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Joseph Laughlin will officiate. Burial will take place in Lacassine Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday from 9:30 until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defer expenses.
