Lillie Duhon Green

Lillie Duhon Green, 99, of Lake Charles, LA died at 8:42 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Green was born April 15, 1913 in Lake Charles, LA, lived in Texas most of her life until moving back to Lake Charles twenty years ago to be with family. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. She will always be remembered for her infectious personality and her delicious treats she made.

Mrs. Green is survived by her sister, Dorothy Sterling; brother, Brady Duhon, both of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Green; parents, Frank and Elnora Duhon; and siblings, Beatrice Johnson, Vivian Rigmaiden, Alfred Duhon, and Edward Duhon.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Edward LaVine will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary at 10:00 AM.
