Lillie Mae Ducote

She’s home!

On June 7, 2022, Lillie Mae Trahan Ducote, age 85, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a woman of great faith and lived her life accordingly. She was known for her acts of love, but her greatest gifts were the prayers that she poured over those she loved that will continue to cover us for generations to come.

A celebration of Lillie Mae’s life will be Friday, June 10, 2022, with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Visitation will resume Saturday morning 9:00 at the Hackberry New Community Center. Funeral service will begin at 11:00.  Burial will follow at New Hackberry Cemetery.

Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years Kenneth Ducote, 6 daughters Dianne (Joe) Hantz, Evelyn (Mike) Backlund, Liz (David) Vaughan, Michelle (Walter) Ledet, Rachael (Ferral) LeBleu, Becky Dees, daughter in-law Leesa Ducote, 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Also, her loving sister Shirley Simon and her favorite baby brother Curtis Lee Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Ducote; grandsons, Ryan Backlund and Christopher Ducote; and a great granddaughter, Heather Backlund.
