She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Lonnie Meche and wife Jeri of Kinder; two daughters, Beverly Austin and Julie Meche, both of Lake Charles; five granddaughters, Courtney Meche Allee (Jared) of Spring Lake, NC, Monica Austin Benoit (Danny) of Sterlington, LA, Brandy Austin Perry (Daniel) of Lake Charles; Ashley Comeaux of Kinder and Raelinn Clement (Michael) of Hathaway; nephew with a special place in her heart, Edward Forestier (Amber) of Fredericksburg, VA; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Chester Martin of Duson and six sisters, Ida Hooper (Bobby) of Lake Charles, Thelma Martin Begnaud of Lafayette; Eva Venable of Duson, Betty Babineaux (Ernest) of Pineville, Margie Randolph of Houston and Lois Stanislawski of Gonzales.

She was preceded in death by her husband of  fifty-seven years, Waverly Joseph Meche; one son, Darrell Meche; parents, Arthur and Della Meche; four brothers, J.B. Martin, John Martin, Aldon Granger and Louis Granger and one sister, Dorthy Kent.
