Lillie Wilkinson Brady

Lillie Wilkinson Brady, 71, passed away on May 14, 2018 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Brady graduated from Sulphur High School in 1966 then was married to Dane Brady on July 29, 1967. After high school she obtained a degree in electrolysis. Mrs. Brady was a devoted member of Lake Charles Bible Church. She was the Secretary for the State of Louisiana’s Republican Party for thirteen years. She enjoyed running Republican political campaigns, organizing weddings, and hosting church parties.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dane Brady; daughter, Josie McGee and her husband, John, and their daughter, Megan; son, Albert Smith; two sisters, Vera Gerstenberg and husband Ken, and Bobbie Sue Fortin and husband, George; brother, Robert Wilkinson and wife, Melissa; sister-in-law, Sherry Wilkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Avis Wilkinson; and brother, Joe Wilkinson.

A funeral service will be held at Lake Charles Bible Church in Lake Charles on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Noon. Private burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday at 10AM until the start of the service.
