Linda "Bubba" Jackson of Lake Charles died at 3:35 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Jackson was born in Lake Charles, LA. She was very active in the Lacassine Catholic Church and Lacassine High School in her younger years. She was a beautician for 40 years in the Lacassine and Welsh communities. She will be remembered as someone who never met a stranger. Mrs. Jackson lived life to the fullest up until the very end. She loved taking cruises and enjoyed spending time on the computer. She often stayed in New Orleans, LA at the Royal Sonesta and considered the workers there her extended family. Mrs. Jackson refused to stay at any other hotel when visiting New Orleans, which was often, as she was an avid Saints fan and attended games regularly. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Leland Jackson of Moss Bluff; a daughter, Stacie Fuselier and husband Jared of Iowa; two step daughters, Kassie Hoehner and husband Mike of Yukon, OK and Racheal Jackson of Houston, TX; grandkids, Kalee Hebert and husband Nelson of Jennings; Hilary Fuselier of Iowa, Khloe Lee, and Aiden and Lilianna Hoehner all of Yukon, OK; great grandkids, Kynzlee and Korbin Hebert; a brother, James LeDoux, Jr. of Lebleu Settlement; a sister, Marie Kachtik and husband Jim of Lebleu Settlement; and in-laws, Sharon and Leland Jackson of Canute, OK, Russell and Pat Jackson of Canute, OK, and Jack Jackson of Taft, CA. She also leaves behind best friends, Lee Anna Caldwell, Darlene Comeaux, Betty Bourgeois, Nona Sonnier , and Norma Benoit as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Lucy; and her parents, James and Lucille LeDoux. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Fredericks and his staff and also to the Oncology Department at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for their outstanding care and support during this time.
