Linda Marie Kockler died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 9, 2017. She was born and raised in Sulphur where she lived the majority of her life. Linda was a graduate of Sulphur High School class of 1973. She worked in the cleaners for 20 plus years. Her most recent job that she loved was at Fisherman Headquarters’ in Carlyss where she worked up until she fell ill in June of 2016. She was the most loving and giving person you would ever meet. She always had a smile on her face and brought one to yours if not lots of laughter. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and all of her grandchildren. Her hobbies included motorcycle riding and poker runs.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Christine Hammett and husband Bradley of Sulphur; her son, Brandon Kockler and long time companion Lana Terro of Sulphur; her 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; her sister, Bonnie Jean Cooney and husband Kevin of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Kenneth Elliot Allen, Jr. and wife Sandra of Carlyss; her cat “Callie” of 13 years who was her pride and joy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Elliot Allen, Sr. and her mother, Carmella Marie Cascio Allen; and the love of her life, Connie Douglas Bond.
A Memorial service for Linda will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 3 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1PM until the time of service.
