Linda Lou Abshire Leger

Linda Lou Abshire Leger, 61, of Lake Charles died peacefully in her home at 4:50 AM in Lake Charles. Mrs. Leger was born in Holmwood, Louisiana and has lived all of her life in Lake Charles. She worked at Popeye's Inc. for over 32 years as a Cashier and Team Leader. She was a member of Biglake Gospel Tabernacle Church. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family, dancing at parties and Baking food for her family. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Willie Ray Leger of Lake Charles, LA, one daughter, Andrea Renee Leger of Abbeville, LA, four sisters: Betty Hooper of Moss Bluff, LA, Dorothy Brocklehurst and husband Daniel of Orange, TX, Sarah Abshire of Lake Charles, LA, and Mary Wells of Glenmora, LA, one brother, Arain Abshire and wife Natalie of Lake Charles, LA, four grandchildren: Kodi Savoy, Ashley Savoy, Heather Leger, William Leger. Linda is preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters, one son Jason Leger and her parents Francis and Ozare Abshire. Her funeral will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Mann will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Sunday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
