Linda "Roseann" Alexis

Linda “Roseann” Alexis, 70, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:50 AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Alexis was born on October 14, 1952 in Myrtle Grove, LA and lived in West Pointe a la Hache until moving to Lake Charles in 1992. 

She was a fighter who was a breast cancer survivor with an infectious laugh who also spoke her mind and thoughts freely. Mrs. Alexis cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed returning to her hometown to visit with family and old friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Peter Alexis, Sr.; children, Peter Alexis, Jr. (Shanna), Matthew Alexis (Tii-Aana), Jeremiah Alexis (Liane), Mark Alexis (Melissa), and Luke Alexis; siblings, Millicent Sylve (Wilson), Melissa Sylve(Tommy), and Esande Henry (Anthony); nineteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Drozen and Eula Sylve Phillips and siblings, Herbert Phillips, Drozen “Bobby” Phillips (Rosie), and Lloyd Phillips.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Pastor Dwight Barker will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 10:00 AM.
