Lisa Ann Burnworth

Lisa Ann Burnworth, 38, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Lisa was a lifelong Sulphur resident, a graduate of Sulphur High School and a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.  She had a zest for life and lived life to its fullest. Lisa loved spending time with her family, especially her daughters. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be remembered for her strong will and her deep faith in her Savior. Bailey, her daughter, would like to share that her mom was sweet, loving, and caring.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Heaven Nicole Terro and Bailey Renea Terro; parents, Dewey Burnworth, Sr. and Jessie Burnworth; brother, Dewey Glenn Burnworth, Jr.; sister, Catherine “Cathy” Burnworth; maternal grandfather, Jerry Hand; and her nieces and nephews, Jacey Langley, Kegan Langley, Jazzlynn Cole, Kingston Cole, and one on the way. She will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Chevy Ray Terro; her fiancé, Derrick Dupre; maternal grandmothers, Jackie Huval Hand and Barbara Comeaux Hand, and her paternal grandparents, Donald and Martha Burnworth.

Services for Lisa will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery of Carlyss. Father John Welch, M.S. will officiate. Visitation will be 2 PM – 8 PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a  Cursillo rosary at 6:30 PM.  Visitation will resume at 9 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
