Lisa Marie Duplechin

Lisa Marie Duplechin, 55, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on December 12th, 2023, at her residence. She was born on June 5, 1968, in Clute, Texas to Jimmy Delafuente and Janice Gartman Delafuente. Lisa graduated from Westlake High School in 1986. She had deep Christian faith and was a member of Gateway Church of God. Throughout her life she cut hair, worked for a local accounting firm, and did volunteer work for Imperial Calcasieu Human Services Authority. She enjoyed doing crafts at home and was happiest when around babies and small children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Delafuente and Janice Doran and her grandparents.

She is survived by her son, Tyler Willis Duplechin and wife, Krystal and by her daughter, Katie Marie Duplechin Ortiz and husband, Alex, her only grandchild, Carter Dean Duplechin, Livie Shreve, the Doran family, the Duplechin family, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Texas.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM also at the funeral home. Following the service, the family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the charity of one’s choice in the name of Lisa.
