L.J. Arceneaux

Leon L.J. Joseph Arceneaux, age 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013 in his home.

L.J. was born on June 24, 1956 in Jennings, Louisiana, the son of Matilda Trahan and Leon Sancire Arceneaux. He graduated from Welsh High School and worked as a farmer, truck driver and then as a lead journeyman/operator in construction.

He loved the outdoors, cooking, listening to Cajun French music, but he especially enjoyed fishing and taking rides with his canine buddy Rooster.

He will be greatly missed and loved by his wife of 36 years, Carolyn Trahan Arceneaux; his daughter, Brandy N. Viator and husband Weston Wes P. Viator Jr. along with his relatives and many friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Johnson's Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leon Arceneaux Benefit Fund at Jeff Davis Bank.
