Lois Carter Wells Thibodeaux

Lois Carter Wells Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, LA passed away on May 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Thibodeaux was born on April 3, 1944 in Lake Charles to Albert and Eva LaGrange Carter.

Lois, a descendant of the Lake Charles pioneer LaGrange family, loved to attend festivals and dancing to Cajun music. While she loved to play golf, her passion was for her family and having her family gather together whenever possible.

Mrs. Thibodeaux is preceded in death by her parents along with her sister Geneva Daigle and her brother Bert Carter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jimmy Thibodeaux and her three children, John (Janet) Wells, Pamela Wells and fiance’ Steve Messer and Matthew (Jennifer) Wells. Those who will especially miss her are her 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren along with her miniature Schnauzers, Beau and Mitzi.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Johnson Funeral Home from 4-8PM with a Rosary being recited at 6PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home of Friday, June 1, 2018 beginning at 10AM. The funeral service will follow at 11AM, officiated by Msgr. Jace Eskind. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
