Lois Conner Stroh

August 19, 1924 — July 15, 2015

Lois Conner Stroh, 90, of Lake Charles, LA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, July 15, 2015 after a brief illness in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born in Lake Arthur, LA to Edward and Ola Conner. She was a promoter member of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Lois taught 5th grade CCD classes at St. Margaret Catholic Church for seven years in the late 1960's and early 1970's. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She was a resident of Lake Charles, LA for seventy one years. She was co-Salutatorian of the Lake Arthur High School class of 1942. She is survived by daughters, Susan Stroh Foreman and husband Ronnie, of Sulphur, LA and Vicki Benoit of LeBleu Settlement, LA; daughter-in-law, Sheila Stroh; sons, Stephen Stroh, of Lake Charles, LA, Douglas Stroh of Baton Rouge, LA and David Stroh of Ragley, LA; sisters Mildred Ryder of Lake Arthur, LA Stella Thompson, Alvin, TX; brother, John Conner of Baton Rouge, LA; ten grandchildren, Jackie M. Stroh, Jennifer Stroh Perkins, Rebecca Stroh Broussard, Lauren Stroh, Alexander Stroh, Flavia Stroh, Ian W. Stroh, Chad W. Stroh, Dalton A. Stroh and Colton J. Stroh; seven great grandchildren, Brook Broussard, Brandon Broussard, Sarah Perkins, Ryan Perkins, Caden Nicholas Stroh, Gavin Wayne Stroh, and Payton Stroh Chang. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Orval (Jack) Stroh Jr.; son, Michael Stroh; sister, Clara Conner Granger Primeaux; brothers, Willard Conner, Burnis Conner, Robert Conner, Desri Conner, Linus Conner, Charlie Conner, and Clarence Conner; and daughter-in-law Janet Whittington Stroh. Services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM with a 2:00 PM Rosary Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Deacon Tony Pousson will officiate services. The family would like to thank Callie, Jesse, and Robin of Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion during her brief illness.
