Lois Elizabeth Parker

Lois Elizabeth Parker, 83, of Lake Charles died at 2:32 PM Monday, March 7, 2011 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Parker was born in DeQuincy, Louisiana and has lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She worked for Montgomery Wards in the Prien Lake Mall for 16 years. She was a loving and caring person. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.


She is survived by five daughters: Cheryl Reeves, Faye Leger, Lowana and husband Patrick Viator, Peggy and husband Robert (T-Bob) Rogers and Cynthia Parker all of Lake Charles, two sons George Parker and wife Toshiko of Westlake, and Gerald Parker and wife Patricia of Ragley, six grandchildren: Lisa Parker of Westlake, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen L. Viator of Orange, TX, Billy Parker of Colorado, Jodi Rogers of Lake Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Parker of Ragley, Justin Rogers of Lake Charles, Katekin Parker of Ragley, six great grandchildren: Zoe Viator of Orange, TX, Tiffany and Traci Reeves of Lake Charles, Lena Parker and Austin Parker both of Ragley, and Josia Parker of Colorado.


Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by one son Jeffery Parker and one daughter Carroll Annette Parker and her parents Ethel Scott and Ridgeway White, and two grandchildren Tracy Leger and Stacy Reeves.


Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:30 AM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Daniel A. Torres will officiate. Burial will be in Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will begin on Friday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
