Lois Lurene (Rene) Hooper, 83, of Lake Charles, LA passed away November 17, 2015 at Grand Cove Nursing Home. Lois was born July 21, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to Robley and Genevieve Lienau. Mrs. Hooper spent many years as a school bus driver. She was a member of the Apostolic Temple in Lake Charles and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her beloved family. One of her favorite pastimes was going to garage sales with her younger sister Jolene. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wayne Hooper and wife Linda of Westlake, LA; Paul Hooper and wife Cindy of Moss Bluff, LA; four grandchildren, Michael Hooper and wife Chenoa of Lake Charles, LA; Jennifer Hooper of Lake Charles, LA; Michelle Andrews and husband Marshall of Moss Bluff, LA; Alexis Hooper of Moss Bluff, LA; four great grandchildren, Mason, Austin, and William Andrews, and Kali Hooper; and two sisters, Jolene Lane and husband Herb, and Merlin McAlerney. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Daniel “Dan” Hooper, and parents Robert Herman Lienau and Genevieve Iola Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Apostolic Temple in Lake Charles. The Rev. Ricky Treece will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Apostolic Temple. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until time of service on Thursday, November 19, 2015.
