Lois May Maynor Veillon

Lois May Maynor Veillon, 84, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Veillon was born May 1, 1927 in Luddington, LA and lived in Lake Charles for all of her life. She was a member of University Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Joy Club. She previously taught the Sunday School Sunbeams class at Sale Street Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her smile and kisses and as a wonderful mother and grandmother.


Mrs. Veillon is survived by her sons, Harold Veillon and wife Dianne of Leesville and Randy Veillon of Moss Bluff; daughters, Linda Sue Bennett and husband Coy of Fort Smith, AR, Laura Ann Miller of Lake Charles, and Sharen Faye Patchell and husband Kenneth of Kempner, TX; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Hallie Veillon; two brothers; three sisters; and her parents.


Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Carlys Beard will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
