Lola Mae Hay Miller, 91 of Lake Charles, LA died on Saturday, November 6, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Miller was born September 17, 1919 in Hecker, LA and lived most of her adult life in Lake Charles. She attended Welsh High School and graduated with honors at Fenton High School the first year the school was in operation. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her Lord and savior as well as a powerful prayer warrior for her family and friends.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Eugene John "E.J." Miller and wife Margaret and Alvin E. Miller, all of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Lauren Boring and husband Joseph of Lafayette, LA, Blake Miller, Madison Miller, and Mallory Miller, all of Lake Charles; Godchild, Pat Hay and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene John Miller, Sr.; parents, John and Rosaline Hay; and siblings, Alton Hay, John Lloyd "Smoke" Hay, Roy "Buster" Hay, Guy Hay, Hadley Hay, Lilly Peloquin, Mildred Marcantel, and Oscar Hay.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow at Hebert Cemetery in Hecker, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
