Lonnie Cain, Sr. passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, in the comfort of his home at the age of 66.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Cain and his brother, Danny Cain.
Lonnie is survived by his mother, Sadie Cain; two children. Shay and Lonnie Cain Jr.; one grandson, Kobe; two siblings including Tommie Sumpter and Kim Cain and wife Monica; the mother of his children, Tammy Cain; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lonnie was born and raised in Westlake and graduated from Westlake Highschool in 1975. In his younger years he was a swell mechanic and could fix anything. He was introverted but always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Some may say Lonnie marched to the beat of his own drum but he loved his children deeply and his grandson was the sun that made his world go round.
Lonnie’s life has taught us life here on Earth is but one brief moment in time. While our family mourns this great loss, we find peace in knowing Lonnie left a mark on those he loved.
