Lora Andrews

Lora Jean Andrews, 75, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at a local hospital following an extended illness. Ms. Andrews was a native of Merryville, LA and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. She and her late husband, Wilbur, were very active members of the Apostolic Temple, UPC, in Lake Charles. She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death was her mother, Raburn Ashworth Matthews; her beloved husband of 41 years, Wilbur "Sonny". Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Stanton L. Andrews, Abbeville, LA; Justin B. Andrews and wife Alison, Burleson, TX; and Kala Daley and husband Curtis, Lake Charles; sister, Melba Collins, Orange, TX; grandchildren, Brittany, Lane, Evan, Kimberly, Chloe, Liam, Megan, Claire, and Kinsley; and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday March 13, 2015 and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Apostolic Temple, UPC, 2711 West Prien Lake Rd., Lake Charles, LA 70605. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Church with Rev. Ricky Treece and Rev. Jordan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Consolota Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
