Lorena Blanche Stevison

Lorena Blanche Midkiff Stevison, 87, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 1:45 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in a local care center. Mrs. Stevison was native of Rosepine, LA and lived in the Moss Bluff area since 1949. She was a very devoted to her Pentecostal Religion and enjoyed her worship services. Her family was her greatest Joy. Survivors include her only son, Rodger Stevison and wife Binnie of Iowa; three daughters, Freida Koskela of Moss Bluff, Minnie Edith Jenkins and husband Edward of Waco, TX, and Leta Faye Simon and husband Rodney of Luling, LA; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; two brothers, Hoye Midkiff and wife Bertha and Beamon Midkiff. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arvel Stevison; brothers Wesley Arthur Midkiff Jr, Neulan and Byron Midkiff; two sisters Eunice and Katie Lewis. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Moss Bluff United Pentecostal Church. Pastor Tim Mahoney will officiate. Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation on Monday will be at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
