Loretta Spell Sparks

Loretta Spell Sparks A native of Estherwood and a resident of Eunice, Loretta passed away peacefully on June 18 at the age of 78. She was a military wife and spent many years traveling as military assignments changed but always managed to volunteer in the military hospitals and welcoming committees to assist families in the adjustment to military life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking having always provided homemade birthday cakes to her family and friends. Loretta enjoyed exploring whether it be through camping or simply getting in the car with her daughter Sharon and letting the road take them wherever it would that day. She will be greatly missed. Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Sharon Kaye Hebert; grandson Brock Adam Hebert; granddaughter Kristi Lynn Carter (husband Ian); great-grandchildren James, Jacob, Joshua, & Ava; and great- granddaughter of the heart Haley Hudson. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Effie Spell; sons John Earl Sparks, James Glen Sparks; and brothers Claude Spell & Robert Lawson Spell. Services will be held privately.
