Lorrie Oelze Bonnette, 56, of Roanoke, LA passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Mrs. Bonnette was a native of Hardinsburg, KY, lived most of her life in the Meade - Breckinridge County areas and periodically made Southwest Louisiana her home. She returned three years ago to Roanoke to reunite with her first love and soul mate, Ronald. Upon her return, she embraced the opportunity to spend time with and spoil her son Jessie and her grandchildren. She worked many years in food service in the restaurant industry. Mrs. Bonnette took great pride in her Native American ancestry and enjoyed collecting paintings, crystal dishes and tribal artifacts. She be most remembered for her contagious laughter and love and devotion to her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five sons, James Brain Bonnette (Gwenda) and Ronald Keith Bonnette, Jr. (Glenda), both of Lacassine; Gregory Scott Bonnette of Roanoke, Jessie Lawrence Bonnette and Nathaniel Seth Bonnette, all of Roanoke; father of her children and dear friend, Ronald Keith Bonnette, Sr. of Roanoke; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, James Franklin Oelze, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL; three sisters, Sheena Dean (Kenneth) of Port Charlotte, FL; Melissa Oelze (Billy Risinger) of Brandenburg, KY and Lucinda Kaye Reinle of Rough River, KY; nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Oelze and Lenore Horsley Gretch.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 28, 2021 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings. Reverend Jered Thomas will officiate. Visitation Monday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
