Louella Ann Alexander

August 30, 1936 — November 8, 2023

Louella “Lou” Ann Doucet Alexander, 87, of Sulphur, left this earth to tend God’s flower garden on November 8, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lou was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Most all her working career was in the banking industry. After her retirement she spent her time caring for her husband until his death and working in her yard and flower beds. Never did she shy away from hard work. Lou was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lou is survived by her son, Ray (Susan) Alexander; daughter, Debbie (Floyd) Chaisson; grandson, Rusty (Laura) Alexander; two granddaughters, Brandi (Jeff) Babino and Kaitlyn (Steven) Lee and bonus grandchildren; great grandchildren, Morgan, Arabella, Shane and bonus great grands; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth (Cotton) Alexander; father, Emile; mother, Cora Trahan; sisters, Minnie Heffner, Mildred Langley; and brother, Kenneth Lee Doucet.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday. November 11, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Rev. Marcus Wade officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 11 from 12 P.M. at the funeral home until time of the service with a rosary at 1 P.M. Burial will be at Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
