The family of Louise K. Thibodeaux sadly announces the death of a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Louise Thibodeaux, 91, of Lake Charles died Sunday, March 22, 2015 in a local hospital. Louise Thibodeaux was born on May 29, 1923 in Royalton, Illinois to parents Martha and Noah King. She was a graduate of Royalton High School. In 1945 while working as a secretary for the War Department in San Francisco she met the love of her life, Elies "Tibby" Thibodeaux. Louise and Tibby married in 1946 and moved to Lake Charles. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lake Charles. Louise loved gardening and painting. She was active in many church and social clubs, including the Louisiana Garden Club Federation, Diggers and Weeders Garden Club, Women's Missionary Union, Enterprise Club, and Ladies of Sahara. She is survived by one son, Terry Thibodeaux and his wife Martina of Moss Bluff; three brothers, Ernest King of Sparta, IL, Noah King, Jr. and his wife Faye of Ziegler, IL, and Homer King and his wife Earline of Percy, IL; two sisters, Bessie Knox and Janet Loeh both of Royalton, IL; two grandchildren, Charlene Aguillard and her husband Robert of Lake Charles, and Steven Thibodeaux and wife Kristy of Austin, TX, one step-grandson, Michael Tiffany and his wife Toni of Dallas, TX, and two great-great grandsons, Alex and Drew Aguillard both of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her husband Elies "Tibby" Thibodeaux and one sister, Helen Marie Diuguid. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue at 8:00 AM on Wednesday until the time of services.
