Lucille Trosclair Darbone

Lucille Trosclair Darbone, 93, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on March 29, 2018 at a local care center. Mrs. Darbone was born on October 17, 1924 in Breaux Bridge, LA to Arthur and Florence Breaux Cormier.

Lucille graduated from University of Southwest Louisiana in 1943 with a Secretarial Degree. She also taught secretarial classes while attending USL. After graduation, she served as the secretary to the principle at Rosteet Junior High. Lucille then went to work at McNeese State University where she worked as a secretary in Basic Studies in the Freshman Division until her retirement.

Lucille loved to sew and crochet in her spare time. Her children remember how she would make all of their clothes as they were growing up.

She is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Lester Trosclair and her second husband, Uewel Darbone along with her sister, Ramona Cormier and her brother Arthur Cormier, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Peggy (James) Langley, and her two sons, David Trosclair and Donald Trosclair. She also leaves one grandson, Chad (Tiffany) Langley and five great-grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Emily, Allison and Coby Langley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 9-11AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11AM, officiated by Deacon Brian Kirk. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
