Lula Fontenot Arnaud

Lula Fontenot Arnaud, 83, of Spring Hill, TN, formerly of Lake Charles, died Friday February 4, 2011 at a Nashville, TN hospital after a brief illness.

Ms. Lula was born July 24, 1927 In Oberlin to Pierre and Ovele Bordelon Fontenot. As a teenager, she moved to Eunice, where she met the love of her life, John Arnaud. She and her husband started their family in Eunice and moved to Lake Charles in 1966. She was always active in her church, especially with the children of the church. She worked with the nursery programs at Glad Tidings, University Methodist and Vineyard churches, providing childcare from Mother's Day Out to church nursery.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Gary Arnaud, League City, TX; daughter Shelia Keys and husband Eddy, Spring Hill, TN; four grandchildren, Nick Spell and wife Leah, Jody Spell, Monique Arnaud Derouen and husband Brady and Chance Arnaud; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Myrt Frey, Eunice and Mercedes Fontenot, Lake Charles, two nieces and five nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday February 7, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday February 8 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kelly Vigo Officiating. Burial will be at St. Louis Cemetery, Eunice.
