Luther W. Jack Carter, Jr.

Jack Carter, 83, of Sulphur passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 at 12:10 AM in a local hospital.

He was a native of South Carolina and lived in the Lake Charles/Sulphur area for over thirty years. Mr. Carter was a Veteran of the U. S. Army.

Survivors in clued his wife, Margaret Trahan Carter of Sulpur; one son, Luther W. Bill Carter III; stepchildren, Dennis Guillory and wife JoAnn, Dore Quelle and husband Don, Dottie Hebert and husband Dewey, Deanna Perkins and husband Kevin, Ron Perkins and wife Linda, Vince Perkins and wife Fawn, and Carol Perkins; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; brothers, Hugh Lee Fits Carter and Lounoble Carter; sister Beaulah L. Crosby. He is preceded in death by his daughter Kim Armstrong.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. There will be private family services at a later date.
